  • Organised, methodical and capable of working under own initiative
  • Able to work to a deadline to ensure reports are issued to key members of the business in a timely manner
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills 
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Interest in sustainability, environmental issues, or ESG

Description

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Monitoring and analysing energy, waste, and carbon footprint data for annual sustainability reporting
  • Coordinating reporting for compliance with plastic packaging tax (PPT) and extended producer responsibility (EPR)
  • Maintaining and improving Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and supporting audits
  • Implementing sustainability initiatives, such as waste reduction or energy efficiency projects
  • Acting as a point of reference for ESG, collaborating with departments and driving positive change
  • Preparing presentations, reports, and marketing materials regarding ESG progress
  • Keeping up to date with environmental legislation, industry trends, and best practices
