This website uses cookies.  By using this website and agreeing to this policy, you consent to C & K Careers Ltd's (C+K Careers') use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy.

Cookies are files sent by web servers to web browsers, and stored by the web browsers.

The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server.  This enables a web server to identify and track web browsers.

There are two main kinds of cookies: session (temporary) cookies and persistent or functionality cookies - these cookies remember information, settings, preferences and login details.  Session cookies are deleted from your computer when you close your browser, whereas persistent cookies remain stored on your computer until deleted, changed, or until they reach their expiry date.

We use cookies for a range of reasons, including to improve your experience for example, to remember your account login and personal profile.

C+K Careers uses the following four cookies on, for the following purposes:

  • cb-enabled - detects whether you have read our cookie policy
  • __stripe_mid - allows the third party usage of the Fontawesome font
  • mydirections_session - contains the temporary PHP Session ID that allows a site to remember your login identity during your current visit
  • XSRF-TOKEN - helps site security in preventing Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks.

In addition on my, there are cookies triggered by the use of the Facebook chat app and as such are the responsibility of Facebook:

  • fr - during pixel loading, Facebook places an 'fr'cookie on your computer, which helps Facebook to provide you with more personalised advertisements, and also to measure and improve advertisements. This cookie has a lifespan of 90 days.
  • xs - contains multiple pieces of information, separated by a colon (colon is encoded to the value %3A for transmission). The first value is an up to two-digit number representing the session number. The second portion of the value is a session secret. The third, optional component is a ‘secure’ flag, used when the user has enabled the secure browsing feature
  • datr - identifies the web browser being used to connect to Facebook independent of the logged in user. This cookie plays a key role in Facebook’s security and site integrity features
  • sb - contains information about the browser
  • spin -  enables TAG to measure, optimize and build audiences for advertising campaigns served on Facebook
  • c_user - contains the user ID of the currently logged in user.

Google cookies

C & K Careers Ltd uses Google Analytics to analyse the use of this website.  Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies, which are stored on users' computers.  The information generated relating to is used to create reports about the use of the website. Refusing cookies

Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept cookies. 

In Internet Explorer, you can refuse all cookies by clicking 'Tools', 'Internet Options', 'Privacy', and selecting 'Block all cookies' using the sliding selector. 

In Firefox, you can adjust your cookies settings by clicking 'Tools', 'Options' and 'Privacy'.
