A full UK driving licence is desirable; however, applicants who are currently learning to drive and working towards obtaining their licence are also encouraged to apply. 

Applicants living in Huddersfield and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply, as transport support may be available through locally based engineers for those who do not yet hold a driving licence or have access to their own vehicle.

Description

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Assisting qualified engineers with the installation, service and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning systems
  • Learning how to diagnose faults and carry out repairs on commercial and industrial equipment
  • Supporting preventative maintenance visits to customer sites
  • Installing pipework, cabling, brackets and associated components
  • Using specialist tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals and specifications
  • Carrying out system testing, commissioning and performance checks
  • Maintaining accurate service records and job documentation
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Developing knowledge of refrigerants, energy efficiency and sustainable cooling technologies
  • Delivering excellent customer service while working on client premises
