£34,434 - £36,363 per annum

Hours

37 hours per week, fixed term for three years

Requirements

  • GCSE maths and English at grades 9-4 
  • STEM or social sciences degree or equivalent
  • Ability to plan own workload 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience of working with health and socioeconomic data sets and analysing data
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office 
  • Proven ability to translate and present complex information to non-technical audiences
  • An interest in public health

Description

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the linking, analysis and interpretation of complex health, care and population data
  • Contributing to discussions on the design requirements of the most appropriate information systems for holding, linking and analysis of sensitive health and care data 
  • Interpreting and presenting health and care intelligence outputs to a variety of audiences
  • Investigating the patterns and variations in diseases and conditions influencing health and care outcomes
  • Designing and implementing population health surveys and disease surveillance tools
  • With support from a mentor, leading Public Health intelligence projects
