37 hours per week, fixed term for three years
Requirements
- GCSE maths and English at grades 9-4
- STEM or social sciences degree or equivalent
- Ability to plan own workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of working with health and socioeconomic data sets and analysing data
- Experience of using Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to translate and present complex information to non-technical audiences
- An interest in public health

Description
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the linking, analysis and interpretation of complex health, care and population data
- Contributing to discussions on the design requirements of the most appropriate information systems for holding, linking and analysis of sensitive health and care data
- Interpreting and presenting health and care intelligence outputs to a variety of audiences
- Investigating the patterns and variations in diseases and conditions influencing health and care outcomes
- Designing and implementing population health surveys and disease surveillance tools
- With support from a mentor, leading Public Health intelligence projects
