Level 2 Playworker apprenticeship

Pay details

£12.42 per hour

Hours

37 hours per week - the role will involve working after school and Saturdays both during term time and school holidays

Requirements

  • GCSE maths and English at grades 9-4
  • Experience of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and databases 
  • Ability to work as part of a team to deliver successful play-based outcomes with children and young people 
  • Able to work outside in all weathers and remain enthusiastic in delivery of activities to groups
  • Able to work on Saturdays and afterschool hours during term time 
  • An enhanced DBS check is required

Description

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Delivering play-based activities from Crow Nest Adventure Playground in Dewsbury
  • Working with children and young people 
  • Supporting parents and carers
  • Working with community based organisations that support children and young people
  • Supporting colleagues with planning, preparation and evaluation of the play activities and other support offered from the playground 
  • Working with colleagues to ensure that the adventure playground is suitable, safe and fun for the children and young people attending
