If you are caring and compassionate and would like to be part of our care teams supporting patients with mental health, learning disability and physical health conditions, we are looking for people with a strong value base from a broad range of backgrounds and experience.

If you have a good standard of maths and English, equivalent to a level 1 (GCSE G or above) and have your certificates, that’s great. If you don’t, or don’t have your certificates, if you can reach entry level 3 on a BKSB assessment, we will support you to undertake Functional Skills maths and English.

Main duties of the job

  • You will be expected to show respect for people as individuals and will demonstrate this in all aspects of care giving. This includes the promotion of equality for all individuals by:

  • Supporting individuals to communicate their needs.
  • Promoting and maintaining the health and wellbeing of individuals
  • Ensuring the environment is safe and free from hazards
  • Working flexibly to meet the needs of the service
  • You will support health and social care professionals by learning how to provide individualised care for service users and structured recreational activities for service users both individually and in group sessions
  • Provide appropriate support to service users at times of emotional or physical distress
